How to Overcome SQL Server Maintenance Challenges
For SQL server administrators, it is very important to analyze SQL server performance and storage structure regularly, and get information that will help to manage SQL server capacity, performance and storage issues, as well as its forecast future requirements. Administrators should be completely aware of the entire SQL server environment and the status of different performance and storage parameters. Download the white paper.

Gaining Maximum Value from Information and Data: Managing Intellectual Property Assets
When it comes to data and storage management, midsize organizations often face similar issues to those of their larger counterparts. Rapid data growth, business continuity, and data archiving are just a few of the problems they must deal with. By coupling IP-based storage area network (SAN) technology with Ethernet-based SAN connectivity, however, organizations can gain higher levels of efficiency and effectiveness.

IBM’s “Shark” Eaten by EMC’s “BASS”
EMC announced its latest high-end Symmetrix models, capable of scaling up to 19.2 terabytes of disk space. Perhaps they should name it the BASS (Big-Advanced Storage System, for the more refined among you), since they’re trying to sink IBM’s “Shark”.

STORAGE ROUTERS: entry into the enterprise storage market. Maximum capacity is 19.2 terabytes (TB), the highest/largest on the market, and surpassing IBM s Enterprise Storage Server by approximately eight TB. The top-of-the-line model is the 8730, which can hold up to 384 disks. In addition to the 8730, EMC announced the five-terabyte 8430. In addition to the big boost in capacity (more than double that of the Symmetrix 5000), EMC has doubled the internal bandwidth (a/k/s bus speed ), from 700 MS/sec to a whopping 1.4
