Manufacturing Software for an Integrated Steel Plant
Manufacturing processes for an integrated steel plant typically encompass three distinct types of manufacturing: flow manufacturing, process manufacturing, and

manufacturing plant  Management Techniques The entire manufacturing process of an integrated steel plant cannot be covered by a single manufacturing system. Some of the steps in the process come under flow manufacturing, some under process manufacturing, and final products fall under mill industry. So the steel industry is a mixed-mode manufacturing environment as a whole. This greatly affects the techniques to measure, manage, and control each intermediate product at each stage of production. Some of the techniques include

ERP for Municipalities

In this model, we assume the municipality controls water, sewers and roads. We assume also that it collects municipal or county taxes and manages many of its own assets such as vehicles and water treatment plant. ERP software for Municipalities nearly always includes Finance, Customer Care and Billing For a complete municipal ERP suite, the following modules are usually included: - Human Resources - Maintenance Management - Asset Management - Project Management ( including Grant Management) - Quality Management - Analytics - Product Technology Of the above, Project and Quality Management modules may not be required for smaller Municipalities.

SAP Manufacturing-Manufacturing Intelligence Dashboards

Adaptiveness in the manufacturing sector depends on being able to push decision making to the shop floor. But that’s often easier said than done. However, manufacturing intelligence dashboards aggregate content from the full range of manufacturing systems into a single view of operations. These role-specific dashboards thus enable employees to manage manufacturing performance, and respond quickly to changes.

Ramco Enterprise Series - Discrete Manufacturing

Please remove (put offline) Ramco Enterprise Series Discrete Manufacturing product  Sherry Fox (3/9/2015 11:30 AM): This product will be updated in the Ramco on Cloud Enterprise RFI. Request put in earlier.   Use the scores from this questionnaire to prepopulate the other.   The Ramco Discrete Production (DP) application is a manufacturing, planning, and control solution. Ramco DP was designed to address enterprise manufacturing requirements, ranging from production planning to scheduling and execution. It addresses the made-to-stock and made-to-order manufacturing environments, with the ability to handle ordinary configure-to-order requirements. While most organizations can benefit from DP applications, those enterprises with multiple manufacturing locations can benefit the most. This is because manufacturing planners in these enterprises can elect to have any of the following planning and execution models: centralized planning, with execution at respective locations; decentralized planning and execution at each manufacturing location; and mixed mode, where high level planning is done centrally and then devolved to the locations for further planning and execution. Ramco DP allows users to define processes in a flexible manner, in order to enable them to adapt to current or changed manufacturing management practices. The planning hierarchy can be changed to suit industry and organisational needs, without compromising on security issues. Its concept of "layered planning" enables flexible planning for any component in the bill of materials, at any time during the planning process. The DP application group is made up of three individual applications: Production Definition, Planning and Execution, and Engineering Change Control.

Adaptive Manufacturing: Enabling the Lean Six Sigma Enterprise

Enabling lean manufacturing and six sigma principles to improve operations requires a nontraditional approach. The old idea that lean manufacturing and six sigma principles don’t require IT isn’t valid anymore. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain management (SCM) applications are critical for enabling holistic, lean manufacturing operations, and work hand-in-hand to better enable consumption—not forecasts—to drive replenishment.
