Microsoft Retail Systems
Microsoft Point of Sale and Microsoft Retail Management System provide a complete point of purchase solution suite for small and midsize specialty retail businesses. Released in 2005, Microsoft Point of Sale has enabled Microsoft to further penetrate the retail market.

IT BUSINESS SOLUTION MICROSOFT: Microsoft POS delivers what it promises. By having a solution that is easy to purchase, to install, to use, and to learn, Microsoft kept its business strategy simple for its POS product. However, there are some inconsistencies within its strategy, as once the software is purchased, the support pricing plan is relatively unclear Moreover, upgrading from POS to RMS is also complex. Microsoft Point of Sale is likely a good avenue for retailers which are convinced that business will remain a single location.

While it’s still behind enterprise software heavy weights, Oracle and SAP, Microsoft Dynamics has grown from number 15 to number 5 in the overall ERP market by servicing the SMB market. Additionally, the Dynamics line, particularly CRM has been well received. Any thoughts? Share This   Read More     --> Trackback Ad

Microsoft Throws .NET At SMEs, With CRM As Bait
While Microsoft might be honest today with its claims of staying away from the true enterprise-level CRM applications space, no one can be sure that its appetite will remain in check for very long.

IT BUSINESS SOLUTION MICROSOFT: Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) announced it would deliver Microsoft Customer Relationship Management (MS CRM) , the first Microsoft business solution built on its .NET platform later this year, possibly as early as October. The move is Microsoft s latest aim at the business application market for small enterprises, a market it ultimately plans to dominate. Palm Computing’s PalmPCs will be facing stiff competition from Microsoft and the Symbian consortium, each of which is trying to grab a large share of the handheld PDA (personal digital assistant) market. Palm presently holds the 80% of the market

Microsoft Kills a Flock of Birds with One Stone
Microsoft announces it is buying nearly 25% of the common shares of archrival Corel. Aside from giving Corel a much-needed infusion of funds, what does it mean?

IT BUSINESS SOLUTION MICROSOFT: which MS-bashers have complained. It gives Microsoft a foothold in the Linux desktop space.
